The Emu’s Way — Aboriginal Lessons in Pride, Jealousy and Emotional Regulation (Years 3–4)
This course helps students explore emotions such as pride, jealousy and self-control through Aboriginal storytelling and cultural knowledge.
Aboriginal cultures often teach important life lessons through stories, observation and shared discussion. These stories help children understand feelings, relationships and the consequences of their actions.
When students explore these stories, they begin recognising that emotions such as pride, jealousy, kindness and fairness are part of everyday life. Cultural storytelling provides a safe and engaging way to explore these feelings while encouraging reflection and empathy.
Through these lessons, students learn how listening, cooperation and respect help communities work together.
