Aboriginal learning traditions recognise that knowledge lives within the land. Country teaches through animals, seasons, stories and relationships between people and place.
Primary students explore these ideas through age appropriate cultural learning experiences. Lessons introduce cultural knowledge while encouraging curiosity and respect. Importantly, these courses support educators to introduce Aboriginal perspectives in ways that feel authentic and respectful.
Learning Through Country—Primary School introduces students to First Nations knowledge through story, culture and connection to Country. Across Aboriginal cultures, learning happens through observation, listening and respectful engagement with the land.
Rather than separating knowledge into subjects, Aboriginal education connects people, place and learning. Students explore culture through story, language, animals, land and community knowledge. Consequently, learning becomes meaningful, reflective and connected to the world around them.
